Personal Interests

Music

I play in piano duo and in string quartet, some "classical" music, but I also like playing jazz (yes, with the cello, although I recently started to study the double bass). I also like improvising in the forest, or in the street, or with actors, dancers and other artists.

Here a few pieces I recently discovered/played, that I particularly like:

    Bach Suites for Cello Solo (fingerings and bowings of Casals as given to me by Menahem Meir; simply unbelievable!).

Mountain

I love walking in the mountains. I've been in the Himalaya, the Alps ... alone or in group. It is good for thinking, I mean silence, stones, lakes, snow, trees, plants, animals and stars ...

Aikido

I've now been doing Aikido for 8 years. I am still pretty bad ... but I like the giving and receiving in it.  Difficult on the tatami, harder in life ....

Meditation

Don't think I can say anything about this. Just sit and stare ...

Personal Non-Interests

Rap, classical theatre, opera, TV, free newspapers in the subway, cars, windows updates, soccer, ...


Things I really do not like

Nationalism, wars, politicians (especially Bush and Berlusconi), cell-phones, techno, prices for flat rentals ...
